Concert : Rappeuses en liberté

I am inviting you to Villers-Cotterêts, to the auditorium of the Cité internationale de la langue française, 1 place Aristide Briand, on Saturday 27 February 2027 at 20:00.

On stage, the three winners of the 2026 cohort of Rappeuses en liberté present their work in a concert held at the end of their residency at the Cité. The programme supports women and gender minorities in rap, giving them a space for creation, visibility and professional development.

Launched in 2021 and backed by some twenty partners, the scheme is aimed at rappers who are still rarely seen in the media, on stage and on streaming platforms. Each year it enables artists to train, record, shoot videos, perform live and build a network. It involves more than 80 hours of artistic and professional training, including masterclasses, and three winners then receive one year of personalised support. Artists it has already supported include Eesah Yasuke, Brö, Juste Shani, Ossem, Almä Mango and 2L.

The concert is part of the Cité’s cycle “Les langues au féminin”, devoted to the feminine side of language. It runs for an hour and a quarter and is open to a general audience. Admission is free, with booking required through the event page on the Cité’s website. Information on 03 64 92 43 43.
