What to expect
About this event
I am inviting you on Saturday 9 January 2027 at 20:30 to the auditorium of the Cité internationale de la langue française in Villers-Cotterêts, for the return of the comedy night with Montreux Comedy.
Four young French-speaking comedians share the bill. They spend a week working at the Cité with the trainers of the Académie d’Humour, then present excerpts from their shows fresh out of rehearsal, before going on tour at the Lillarious festival. The performers’ names are not yet listed on the Cité’s page.
The evening is organised in partnership with Montreux Comedy, founded by Grégoire Furrer more than thirty years ago, the Hauts de l’Humour and the Lillarious festival. The show lasts an hour and a quarter and is open to all audiences.
There is a single price of 5 €, with unreserved seating. Tickets are sold online, at the Cité’s box office, or on the night at the auditorium, subject to availability. I like this format, which gives up-and-coming talent a chance: it is often where the most genuine laughs happen.
