What to expect
About this event
Let me invite you to Laon on Sunday 13 December 2026, from 10 am to 12 noon, for a nature workshop called "Décos, petite vannerie sauvage", or wild basketry decorations.
The morning opens with a presentation of wild plants that can be used for weaving, followed by an explanation of the basics of basketry. Then everyone gets to work: weaving, tightening, coiling, and choosing colours and natural materials to make their own little ball basket. The activity is listed as indoors.
The workshop is run by the CPIE des Pays de l'Aisne, a local environmental education centre. It is free, but booking is required. The exact meeting point in Laon is not published; it is given when you register. The number provided by the tourist office is +33 3 23 80 03 02.
The sources do not state the intended audience or the number of places. If either matters to you, I suggest asking when you call to register.
