What to expect
About this event
I am taking you to Laon on Sunday 8 November 2026 for a nature-themed escape game devised by the CPIE des Pays de l’Aisne, a local environmental education centre: “Des yeux dans la nuit”.
The storyline gets straight to the point. It is late, very late, and yet the night is anything but quiet. Lights flicker, blind and dazzle, keeping some from living and others from sleeping. After so many troubled nights, everyone’s nerves are frayed and war is looming. Your mission: prevent it. I like the way the game turns a nature question into a team investigation, where you have to listen to one another to make progress.
In practical terms, the game starts at 10:00 and runs for two hours. It is open to players aged 12 and over, accompanied by an adult. The meeting point is not published: you receive it when you book, and booking is compulsory with the CPIE des Pays de l’Aisne on 03 23 80 03 03. Taking part is free.
I suggest booking early and noting the address carefully, because without it the game is over before it begins.
