About this event
I am inviting you to Laon, to the Salle de la Station in the Suzanne-Martinet media library on rue Marcelin Berthelot, for the exhibition « Un autre espace ». It brings together the duo Véronique Durazzo and Didier Ducrocq, who have worked together since 2015 on reflective surfaces such as copper, zinc, mercury, water vapour, mirrors and screens. They use these materials to reflect light or to project moving images.
The mirror keeps returning in their work, because it can distort, colour, make iridescent, multiply and, in the end, reveal another space. Here again it takes centre stage. The two artists take hold of the large volume of the cloister of the Saint-Martin abbey, with its geometric and architectural lines, and offer a fresh reading of it. Through shifts, overlays and ambiguities, they invite you to reconsider what you perceive.
The exhibition is open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 14:00 to 18:00, except public holidays, until 12 December 2026. Admission is free.
