Théâtre à Laon : "Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme"

I am mentioning this date even though it is already fully booked: on Sunday 6 December 2026 at 8 pm, the salle des fêtes of the Maison des Arts et Loisirs (MAL), 2 place Aubry in Laon, hosts "Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme", Molière's comedy.

The story is well known but always a treat. Monsieur Jourdain dreams big: he wants to become a gentleman. A mere bourgeois, he struggles to climb into high society and imitate the nobility. Pretences waltz, plots are hatched, tutors parade through and misunderstandings pile up. The description also promises Turks who invite themselves, arranged marriages and quarrels over vowels and consonants, in a whirl of powdered wigs and flamboyant costumes.

The show lasts 1h45. The announced prices were 30 euros for an adult ticket and 20 euros at the reduced child rate, but the listing carries the word COMPLET (fully booked) in its title.
