What to expect
About this event
Join me on Tuesday 1 December 2026 at 8.30 pm in the salle des fêtes of the Maison des Arts et Loisirs (MAL), 2 place Aubry in Laon, for "Jamais Contents !".
The team behind Gainsbourg for kids, billed as a dream team, now takes on the rich and subtle songbook of Alain Souchon. According to the description, the result is a cheerfully anxious show that revisits essential songs such as "Poulaillers song", "Papa Mambo" and "Foule sentimentale", along with a few lesser known gems: "Les oiseaux", "Nouveau" and "Tout m'fait peur". Every generation in the room is invited to discover or rediscover them. The listing sums up the spirit in a line: never satisfied, but terribly alive.
The show lasts 1h15 and is open from age 6. An adult ticket costs 8 euros and the reduced child rate is 3.50 euros. Booking is online on the Ville de Laon ticketing site.
I find it a lovely way to pass songs from one generation to the next, without a single music theory lesson.
