What to expect
About this event
I am taking you to the auditorium of the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse (CMD), allée Claude Debussy in Soissons, on Saturday 29 May 2027 at 8 pm for a concert by Les Percussions de Strasbourg.
The ensemble sets the great works of the twentieth century in dialogue with contemporary commissions. For this tailor-made programme, it links founding pieces of the repertoire, notably those of Iannis Xenakis, with today's writing.
The programme: Okho and Pléiades by Iannis Xenakis, framing Extension 110 by the young composer Jaouen Rudolf, whose new work extends this legacy. On stage are six percussionists: Alexandre Esperet, François Papirer, Vassilena Serafimova, Thibaut Weber, Hsin-Hsuan Wu and Yi-Ping Yang.
Tickets cost €5 to €20 from the official Ville de Soissons box office. Information on +33 3 23 59 10 12 or at cmd@agglo-soissonnais.com. The length of the concert is not published.
