On stage, two cellists, Emilia Gliozzi and Lucie Mercat, form a Baroque duo. They invite the audience, starting with those who take part in the workshops run by Les concerts de poche, to explore the treasures of Baroque Italy.
Their programme brings together great figures of that rich period: Gabrielli, Frescobaldi, Cervetto, Lanzetti, Canavas and Geminiani. The two musicians reveal the elegance, virtuosity and expressive richness of this music, and the brilliance and sensitivity of the Baroque cello.
