What to expect
About this event
I am taking you to the CMD auditorium in Soissons on Tuesday 11 May 2027 at 8 pm for a recital by the pianist Vanessa Wagner.
The official presentation describes a career combining classical recitals, contemporary creation, period instruments, chamber music and encounters with other art forms. It highlights her musical colours, the intensity of her playing and a constantly renewed repertoire that links worlds too often kept apart.
The programme is a good example. It sets nine Études by Philip Glass, Nos. 1, 2, 11, 15, 16, 14, 6, 3 and 9, in dialogue with seven Preludes by Johann Sebastian Bach from books 1 and 2, namely Nos. 1, 5, 16, 17 and 2 from the first book and Nos. 20 and 12 from the second. The concert opens and closes with Glass.
The recital is organised by the Ville de Soissons and the CMD. Tickets cost from €10 to €30 on the official box office. The running time is not stated.
