What to expect
About this event
I am taking you to the CMD auditorium in Soissons on Friday 16 April 2027 at 8 pm for the Orchestre National de Lille, conducted by Diego Ceretta.
The box office lists the evening under the title "Dvořák's Symphony No. 8". The programme follows strings in all their forms. The orchestra's bowed strings open with Anton Webern's Langsamer Satz, in an arrangement by Gerard Schwarz, which the presentation calls poignant.
Next come the struck strings of the piano in Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54, with the Italian pianist Federico Colli as soloist. The evening ends with strings, winds and percussion in Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88.
The concert is organised by the Ville de Soissons and the CMD. Tickets cost from €10 to €30 on the official box office. The running time is not stated.
