About this event
I would like to point you to a powerful play on Thursday 18 March 2027 at 8 pm at Le Mail, the town of Soissons' cultural venue on rue Jean de Dormans.
Tout contre la terre tells the story of Camille, who meets Augustin, her very first love, at 15. She moves with him to the farm where he raises pigs and discovers that a farmer's life is anything but peaceful. Between field work, daily care of the animals, health or mechanical setbacks and a difficult economic climate, the couple sinks into debt. Exhausted and without help, Augustin, aged 31, takes his own life. Camille later tells her story to the journalist Antoine Jeandey.
The text is by Rémy Couturier, who co-directs with Marie Benati. The cast includes Charlotte Bigeard, Thibaud Pommier and Rémi Couturier, with some roles shared between actors. The production is by Les Pies Menteurs and Artistic Scenic.
