About this event
I will see you on Saturday 13 March 2027 at 20:00 at the Cité de la musique et de la danse in Soissons, 9 allée Claude Debussy, in the Parc Gouraud, for the annual concert of the Ensemble Orchestral de la Cité.
Founded in 2015 by ADAMA together with the Cité de la musique et de la danse, the ensemble brings together, in equal numbers, players from the orchestra Les Siècles and teachers from music schools and conservatoires across the Aisne, with a guest conductor each year. This time Stéphanie-Marie Degand conducts, with François-Frédéric Guy at the piano.
The programme is built as a Viennese legacy, a few days before the bicentenary of Beethoven's death on 26 March 1827: Mozart's overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 « Emperor », and Brahms's Symphony No. 3. Opera, concerto and symphony, in that order.
