What to expect
About this event
Let me take you to the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse in Soissons on Saturday 23 January 2027 at 8 pm, for a concert by Le Concert de la Loge devoted to Joseph Haydn.
The listing asks what might be hiding in the satchel of good old "Papa Haydn": a hen, a clock, a ray of sunshine, a storm and a whole bundle of surprises. The programme is described as a zany yet starchy cock-and-bull ride, in the image of Haydn's symphonies, which are full of cheeky asides and delightful nonsense.
The concert is billed as playful and educational, a way into classical music through its winks and surprises rather than through solemnity.
Tickets range from €10 to €30. The sources consulted do not list the exact works, the conductor or the length of the concert. For those details or for tickets, the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse can be reached on +33 3 23 59 10 12 or at cmd@agglo-soissonnais.com.
