What to expect
About this event
I am taking you to the chapelle Saint-Charles, rue de Panleu in Soissons, on Friday 4 June 2027 at 8 pm for a harpsichord recital by Olivier Baumont.
A harpsichord professor at the Conservatoire de Paris, Olivier Baumont completes in Soissons his complete cycle, performed in the Aisne, of Jacques Duphly's harpsichord works. The presentation describes the composer as one of the last great figures of the French school.
The author of four books of pieces, Duphly was among the masters sought after by Parisian high society during the reign of Louis XV. His pieces, both sensitive and virtuosic, carry the legacy of Rameau and follow in the line of Dagincourt and François Couperin, in the service of an aesthetic of pleasure.
Tickets cost €3 to €6 from the official Ville de Soissons box office. Information on +33 3 23 59 10 12 or at cmd@agglo-soissonnais.com. The length of the recital is not published.
