TEN THOUSAND HOURS

I am taking you to Le Mail Scène culturelle in Soissons on Saturday 9 January 2027 at 8pm, for Ten Thousand Hours, a circus show by the company Gravity and Other Myths, directed by Lachlan Binns.

The title gives the subject away: hours. Eight acrobats study acrobatic skills, how to acquire them, how to refine them and how they can transform a life. The source stresses the detail and nuance of these high-flying moves, which let the audience sense the countless hours needed to master them.

The show presents itself as an invitation to watch acrobats at work and to celebrate the physical language that defines the company, reminding us that the performers are human and that wonder lies in what we all share: the body.
