About this event
I am inviting you to the Maison du Parc d’Isle, avenue Léo Lagrange in Saint-Quentin, on Saturday 14 November 2026 at 14:30, for the year’s last nature photography workshop.
The theme is still life. The idea is to photograph inanimate objects: fruit, flowers, everyday items, crockery, books, tools, materials. The aim is to play with light, composition, texture and colour to create an image that is aesthetic, symbolic or evocative. I like this exercise because it forces you to slow down: an object that does not move gives you all the time in the world to find the right angle, and no excuse if the picture comes out blurred.
The workshop runs from 14:30 to 16:30. It is free, with booking through the Maison du Parc d’Isle on 03 23 05 06 50, and places are limited.
Earlier sessions this year covered macro photography and animal portraits; this one closes the series with a subject that, for once, will not fly away.
