What to expect
About this event
I am inviting you to the Eden on rue Charles de Gaulle in Hirson on Saturday 13 March 2027 at 8.30 pm, for the return of Arie van Beek at the head of the Orchestre de Picardie, which the presentation calls his own orchestra.
The programme is called "Puissance 3". It brings Stravinsky, Prokofiev and Mendelssohn together around one idea: reinventing classical forms. In "Dumbarton Oaks", Stravinsky revisits the spirit of Bach. Prokofiev continues the conversation with his Classical Symphony, described as brilliant, light and tinged with irony, and Mendelssohn is represented by his string symphonies.
The evening also features Beethoven's Triple Concerto, a work built on the balance between orchestra and soloists, here the Trio Moreau.
Tickets cost €10 or €2, the €2 rate applying in particular to job seekers, under-18s and students. Information and bookings on +33 3 23 58 81 33. The listing does not give the length of the concert.
