About this place
The medieval castle became a major bastioned fortress under the dukes of Guise. Today’s route passes courtyards, keep, casemates and underground rooms, with evidence of destruction and restoration by volunteers from the Club du Vieux Manoir. It is a large site: leave time to walk and understand its many periods.
Two ways to explore
The 2026 ticket covers a self-guided route and, when available, a 45-minute guided tour by appointment. There are steps; the underground spaces are said to be around 13°C. A baby carrier works better than a buggy.
