About this place
Inside the station, the former refreshment room combines mosaics, opaline glass and circular floor patterns. Architect Urbain Cassan and glass artist Auguste Labouret shaped this 1920s interior. You cannot simply walk in: the tourist office says access is only through scheduled guided visits.
What to look for
The reinforced-concrete counter is covered with stoneware, coloured opaline and Venetian enamels. Floor and wall mosaics extend Labouret’s design. Some guided formats include breakfast or afternoon refreshments; book those separately.
