Young Prince Tamino is sent by the Queen of the Night to free Pamina, held prisoner by her rival Sarastro. With the bird-catcher Papageno at his side and a magic flute in hand, he must face terrible trials and dispel dark illusions. Between laughter and mystery, Mozart celebrates love, courage and fraternity.\n\nThe production is by Renaud Boutin of Labopéra Oise, with seven solo singers and an instrumental ensemble conducted by Takénori Nemoto. The performance lasts two hours and ten minutes, including an interval, and is recommended from age 7.\n\nOn Wednesday 30 December at 10:30, the workshop “À vous de chanter !” offers an introduction to operatic singing based on the work.\n\nTickets cost 10 € at full price and 5 € at the reduced rate (students, jobseekers, people on minimum benefits or AAH, under-26s), through the Cité’s box office.\nDates: Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 December 2026 at 17:00.
