For an hour and a half, three guests ask who travel writers are, why people go far away to write, and where the age-old tradition of travel journals comes from.\n\nAround the table: the author Adrien Blouët, born in 1992, a writer and manga translator, who published « Comment ne pas devenir écrivain voyageur » in 2024; the ethnologist Pascal Dibie, born in 1949, a writer and lecturer-researcher at Université Paris-VII, winner of the Académie française's Henri Dumarest sociology prize in 1987 and president of the Prix Bouvier at the Étonnants Voyageurs festival in Saint-Malo; and Sylvie Requemora-Gros, senior lecturer in French literature of the classical centuries at Aix-Marseille University.\n\nThey discuss what exploration narratives do to language, and how literature about faraway places expresses the way we grasp the world and other people.
