DESCRIPTION:Les Siècles and the Aedes choir, conducted by Mathieu Romano, perform Mozart's Requiem alongside works by Vivier, Pärt, Purcell and Grisey at Soissons cathedral on Saturday 22 May 2027 at 8 pm, with tickets from €10 to €30.\nI am taking you to Soissons cathedral, rue des Déportés et Fusillés, on Saturday 22 May 2027 at 8 pm for a concert by the orchestra Les Siècles and the ensemble Aedes, choir and soloists, conducted by Mathieu Romano.\n\nAt the centre of the programme is Mozart's Requiem, the final masterpiece that death prevented him from completing. The presentation sees it less as a funeral song than as the celebration of a life filled with every human emotion.\n\nMore than two centuries later, Claude Vivier wrote Glaubst du an die Unsterblichkeit der Seele? (Do you believe in the immortality of the soul?), a work in which he foresaw his own death and which remained unfinished.
