DESCRIPTION:Les Scènes partagées brings bassoonist Jean-François Duquesnoy and six musicians together for Beethoven, Ries and Onslow on Sunday 4 April 2027 at 4 pm in the CMD auditorium in Soissons, with tickets from €5 to €20.\nI am taking you to the CMD auditorium on allée Claude Debussy in Soissons on Sunday 4 April 2027 at 4 pm for Les Scènes partagées, a chamber music concert marking the bicentenary of Beethoven's death.\n\nThe programme opens with an early Beethoven work, the Trio for flute, bassoon and piano in G major, WoO37, written in 1786. It continues with the Sextet in G minor, Op. 142, by his pupil Ferdinand Ries, composed in 1814, and ends with Georges Onslow's Grand Sextet, Op. 77bis, from 1848. The presentation recalls that Berlioz considered Onslow to hold "the sceptre of instrumental music" after Beethoven's death.\n\nThe concert is led by Jean-François Duquesnoy, principal bassoon of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, with Jean-Pierre Moisseron on flute, Sylvain Bres on clarinet, Jean-Denis Carlier on horn, Aude Millière on double bass, Henri Gillig on harp and Kyungsun Yoo on piano.\n\nTickets cost €5 to €20 through the Ville de Soissons box office.
