SUMMARY:ORCHESTRE DE PICARDIE
DESCRIPTION:The Orchestre de Picardie plays Elgar, Wagner and Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été with mezzo-soprano Eléonore Pancrazi on Friday 12 February 2027 at 20:00 at 9 allée Claude Debussy in Soissons, with tickets from 5 to 20 euros.\nI am inviting you to Soissons, to 9 allée Claude Debussy, on Friday 12 February 2027 at 20:00, for a concert by the Orchestre de Picardie devoted to music offered to a loved one.\n\nThe programme features the tender Salut d’amour, which Elgar dedicated to his fiancée in 1888. It is followed by Siegfried Idyll, the birthday present Wagner gave his wife Cosima on Christmas Day 1870: an intimate “chamber symphony” that the presentation credits with an incomparable power of enchantment.\n\nThe programme then broadens its scope. After the diptych for violin and orchestra Rêverie et Caprice, dated 1841, comes Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été, a cycle of six songs with orchestra composed in 1856. Mezzo-soprano Eléonore Pancrazi carries its vocal line, whose new expressive intensity, the presentation notes, would only find an equivalent in Mahler.\n\nTickets range from 5 to 20 euros. For information, the listed contact can be reached on 03 23 59 10 12 or at cmd@agglo-soissonnais.com.\nDate: Friday 12 February 2027 at 20:00. Venue: 9 allée Claude Debussy, 02200 Soissons. Price: 5 to 20 euros. With mezzo-soprano Eléonore Pancrazi. Information: 03 23 59 10 12, cmd@agglo-soissonnais.com.\nI should warn you that the thread running through this programme is gifts that composers made to the women they loved. I suggest you come accompanied, or take discreet notes, because raising the bar as high as a chamber symphony for a birthday is not within everyone’s reach, and I say that with real sympathy.\nOrchestre de Picardie in Soissons: Berlioz, Wagner, Elgar\nORCHESTRE DE PICARDIE in Soissons, Aisne, on Friday 12 February 2027 at 20:00: Elgar, Wagner, Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été with Eléonore Pancrazi. 5 to 20 euros.\nWhen does the Orchestre de Picardie play in Soissons?\nOn Friday 12 February 2027 at 20:00.\nWhat is on the programme?\nElgar’s Salut d’amour, Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, Rêverie et Caprice for violin and orchestra, and Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été.\nWho is the vocal soloist?\nMezzo-soprano Eléonore Pancrazi.\nHow much is a ticket?\nFrom 5 to 20 euros.
