SUMMARY:LA MISÉRABLE
DESCRIPTION:La Misérable, a show in which Julie Depardieu plays Juliette Drouet, Victor Hugo’s companion, is on at 7 rue Jean de Dormans in Soissons on Friday 27 November 2026 at 20:00, with tickets from 10 to 30 €.\nI am inviting you to Soissons, to 7 rue Jean de Dormans, on Friday 27 November 2026 at 20:00, for La Misérable.\n\nThe show shines a light on the woman in Victor Hugo’s shadow: Juliette Drouet. It tells the story of fifty years of passionate love and mutual hold over each other. Juliette was the poet’s heroine, his muse, his passion, his copyist and his inspiration, but also his prisoner: according to the presentation, Victor kept her shut away in a maid’s room for fourteen years so as to have her all to himself. During that captivity she wrote him thousands of letters, while remaining his devoted support, body and soul.\n\nJulie Depardieu plays Juliette, a hundred and forty years later, to tell the story nobody ever wanted to hear and to reveal the couple’s bedroom secrets. I like the reversal: for once, the woman in the shadows holds both the pen and the stage.\n\nTickets range from 10 to 30 €. For booking and seating, please check the source listing.\nDate: Friday 27 November 2026 at 20:00. Address: 7 rue Jean de Dormans, 02200 Soissons. With Julie Depardieu as Juliette Drouet. Prices: from 10 to 30 €.\nI should warn you that Victor Hugo does not come out of this looking his best: fourteen years locked in a maid’s room is a lot, even for a genius. I suggest going for Juliette, who finally gets to speak, and for Julie Depardieu, who gives her back her voice.\nLa Misérable with Julie Depardieu in Soissons, November 2026\nLa Misérable in Soissons, Aisne, on Friday 27 November 2026 at 20:00: Julie Depardieu plays Juliette Drouet, Victor Hugo’s muse.
