SUMMARY:LE CONCERT SPIRITUEL
DESCRIPTION:Le Concert Spirituel performs Mozart and the Haydn brothers on Sunday 22 November 2026 at 16:00 at the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse in Soissons, with tickets from 10 to 30 euros.\nI am taking you to the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse Grand Soissons, 9 allée Claude Debussy, on Sunday 22 November 2026 at 16:00 for a concert by Le Concert Spirituel devoted to Mozart in Salzburg.\n\nMozart wrote much of his liturgical music for Salzburg, some fifteen Masses, litanies, vespers and motets, as Konzertmeister to Prince-Archbishop Colloredo, who in a reforming spirit wanted short services. It was there that Mozart wrote his Missae breves, early works that are still rarely performed today.\n\nTwo Masses are on the programme: according to the ensemble's page, the Missa brevis in F major K. 192 and the Missa brevis in D major K. 194. They show a style of balance and lyricism, with short solos of finely shaped melody. Pieces by his contemporaries Joseph and Johann Michael Haydn complete the programme.\n\nThe choir and orchestra of Le Concert Spirituel are conducted by Hervé Niquet. The concert lasts 90 minutes, with an interval, and tickets range from 10 to 30 euros.\nVenue: Cité de la Musique et de la Danse Grand Soissons, 9 allée Claude Debussy, Soissons. Date: Sunday 22 November 2026 at 16:00. Tickets: 10 to 30 euros. Running time: 90 minutes with an interval. Conductor: Hervé Niquet.\nI have a soft spot for the short Masses Mozart wrote as a young man in Salzburg, which are still so rarely heard. I recommend this Sunday afternoon in Soissons to hear a choir and orchestra in this repertoire. To me, an hour and a half of sacred music with an interval is a lovely way to end the week.\nLe Concert Spirituel: Mozart in Soissons on 22 November\nLe Concert Spirituel in Soissons on Sunday 22 November 2026 at 16:00: two short Masses by Mozart and pieces by the Haydn brothers, tickets 10 to 30 euros.\nWhen and where is the concert?\nOn Sunday 22 November 2026 at 16:00 at the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse Grand Soissons, 9 allée Claude Debussy.\nHow much are tickets?\nListed prices range from 10 to 30 euros.\nWhat is on the programme?\nTwo Missae breves by Mozart, in F major and D major, and pieces by Joseph and Johann Michael Haydn.\nHow long is the concert?\n90 minutes with an interval, according to the ensemble's page.
