DESCRIPTION:Immersion, an exhibition by the duo Marie et Gotié offering a visual and sound installation on the gestures of work, is open free of charge from 16 to 24 April 2027 at the Espace Bernard-Noël of the Maison des Arts et Loisirs in Laon.\nI am taking you to the Espace Bernard-Noël at the MAL, the Maison des Arts et Loisirs on place Aubry in Laon, from Friday 16 to Saturday 24 April 2027 for Immersion, an exhibition by the duo Marie et Gotié.\n\nSince 2022, the two artists have been running a long-term project on the gestures at the heart of human activity. They observe, collect and render everyday gestures in industry, farming, construction and hospitals. In the field, they gather workers' stories, soundscapes and observations, which they then turn into images and graphic work.\n\nTheir question is what work makes visible and what it hides, and which hierarchies of value shape these gestures. Immersion takes the form of a visual and sound installation drawing on pre-cinema techniques and the persistence of vision.\n\nThe exhibition is open on 16 April and from 20 to 23 April from 1 pm to 5.30 pm, and on 17 and 24 April from 2 pm to 5 pm.
